Let me introduce another new, young stallion for 2010 standing at Langaller Farm. An advert in Horse and Hound caught my eye for a coloured colt by our resident stallion Lostock Huntsman. The colt in question turned out to be one that we had bred ourselves and sold as a weanling. The deal was quickly sealed he now belongs jointly to Langaller Farm and to Mr. Phil. Shaw and he has come ‘home’ to stand alongside his father. He is out of an outstanding coloured mare who Evented to Advance level before retiring to stud. She is 16.2hh, beautifully marked and very elegant. She in turn is by the well known sire Daz. This colt has inherited all that his parentage promised; stature, scope, movement, conformation, temperament and markings. A Lot About Leuy stands a good 16hh, is Skewbald although is in fact a very dark brown. At just a three year old this time he sailed through his grading and is available for the first time this season at public stud. He did in fact cover three mares last year and all three conceived and he has already fathered a coloured colt from a plain mare. His other two are yet to foal. We think he is a really exciting stallion prospect and to that end are using him on a number of our own mares and strongly recommend that you consider him too. Do come and see Luey for yourselves.
